Biography

Vivian Domenjoz is a composer, music theorist, musicologist, and music teacher. He was born in French-speaking Switzerland in 1976 and has lived and made music in the border region between Switzerland, Austria, and the Principality of Liechtenstein since 1996. After studying in Feldkirch and Zurich (Diploma in Composition, MA in Music Theory, and BA in Instrumental Pedagogy), he has been teaching theory at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory and the Stella Vorarlberg since 2009.
2012-2013: Substitute at the Bern University of the Arts. 2015-2021: Coordination of the Department of Music Theory and Music Pedagogy at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory. 2016: Co-founder of the ensemble for new music PulsArt. Initiator of the ‘Tonsatzwerkstatt’ and the series ‘Reden wir über Musik’. Since 2021 he has been working in a research team at the Bern University of the Arts and is doing his doctorate in musicology at the University of Lausanne.
