Strategies and measures for internationalization are outlined in the Development Plan 2022–2027 and encompass all areas of the university as well as its networking activities. Internationalization is a shared responsibility of all university members and is understood as a continuous process.

Through membership in networks such as the AEC and the Four-Country Lake Constance Science Association, additional opportunities are opened that benefit the international student body and teaching staff extensively. Building on existing collaborations, Stella University of Music is committed to continuously expanding its internationalization efforts.

The Stella Vorarlberg Privathochschule für Musik is an active member of the higher education network in the music and arts sector, the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (AEC), which represents the interests of institutions engaged in professional music education. This membership ensures international networking and positioning, fosters comparability, quality assurance, and facilitates regular knowledge exchange.

The Lake Constance Four-Country Science Network is an alliance of 25 European universities in the Lake Constance region, dedicated to strengthening the connection between research, education, and practice. Its goal is to collaboratively develop, test, and implement innovative solutions for the sustainable development of the four-country region. Membership in this network enhances the visibility and economic viability of our university while enabling cross-border cooperative projects and research initiatives.
