MA Music Performance & Career Development (EN)

The artistic Master’s programme consists of artistic and scientific study modules that serve to expand and deepen the student’s own artistic-musical profile. It provides the basis for reflection and further development of the student’s own concert and research practice as well as for entrepreneurial and market-based activities as an artist.

The Study Programme

The Master of Arts degree of the programme certifies that graduates have a high artistic level in their respective main subject. It further provides graduates with the competences to develop dramaturgy, staging, and concert programs as well as to carry these into the cultural sector as independent entrepreneurs through their basic economic and legal knowledge.

The degree programme entitles students to take up further doctoral studies at colleges and universities.

Programme Length
4 semesters of full-time study
max. 8 semesters as part-time study (study modules are partly carried out in cooperation with external practice partners)
