Development and Exploration of the Arts

An important area of research at Stella Vorarlberg is concerned with the development and exploration of the arts. This form of music research focuses on the individual processes of experience, decision-making, and interpretation when performing, creating, composing, communicating, and producing music and sound. In the context of research, artistic processes are considered, in which musicians creatively deal with objects, situations, and constellations and communicate these in various forms such as recordings, performances, and oral and written representations.
