Biography

  • Born in Bludenz in 1970, grew up in Feldkirch-Tosters and on the Blasenberg, graduated from the Bundesgymnasium Dornbirn. Flute lessons with Günther Wehinger and Günter Jahoda, most recently at the former Vorarlberg State Conservatory.
  • From 1988, studies in Vienna (music theory with Karl Heinz Füssl and Diether de la Motte, Instrumental & Vocal Pedagogy flute with Raphael Leone) and in Brussels (traverso with Bart Kuijken, Marc Hantaï and Frank Theuns). 1996/97, Gedenkdienst.
  • Since 1997 resident in Basel, teaching for the Swiss Music Pedagogical Association SMPV at the Basel Free Music School until 2007, further training in Japanese and Renaissance music. 2006-2008, teaching position at the Music College Trossingen , since 2006 at the former Vorarlberg State Conservatory, now Stella Vorarlberg.
  • Since 2007 lecturer in music theory and head of the interpretation research programme at the Bern University of the Arts, since 2008 flutist in the Concerto Stella Matutina.
