Biography

Tatiana Chernichka was born into a family of musicians in Novosibirsk, Russia. She was educated at the music school of the M. I. Glinka Conservatory for highly gifted children in her home town, where she was taught by Professor Mary Lebenson. She has lived in Munich since 2003, where she completed her studies with Professor Eliso Virsaladze. She completed her master’s degree with Professor Klaus Kaufmann at the Mozarteum Salzburg with honours in 2011. Tatiana Chernichka has won numerous competitions (including ‘Busoni’ in Bolzano, ‘Queen Elisabeth’ in Brussels and ‘Maria Canals’ in Barcelona). Since 2009 she has held a teaching position as a répétiteur at the Munich University of Music. She has also taught several masterclasses with renowned professors such as Ana Chumachenco, Natalia Gutman, Julia Fischer and Wen-Sinn Yang. Her debut CD with 24 etudes by Chopin was released by ARS Produktion in 2018.
