Biografie

Magdalena Moser was born in Leoben. She gained international recognition through numerous successes at prestigious organ competitions, including the International Organ Festival in St. Albans (UK), the Elizabeth B. Stephens Organ Competition in Atlanta, the International Franz Schmidt Organ Competition in Vienna, and the International Organ Competition in Korschenbroich. In addition, she was awarded the Honorary Prize from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, as well as the Austria Art Alumni Award from the Federal Ministry for Women, Science, and Research.

Her concert career has taken her to venues such as the Vienna RadioKulturhaus, the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, St. Lambertus Basilica in Düsseldorf, St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Bucharest, and to numerous significant historic organs, including the Hildebrandt organ at St. Wenceslas Church in Naumburg.

She studied with Ulrich Walther at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, as well as with Martin Schmeding at the “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” University of Music and Theater in Leipzig.

In addition, she completed studies in instrumental (vocal) pedagogy for piano, as well as concert performance and IGP (Instrumental and Vocal Performance) in clarinet at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She also studied piano accompaniment, composition, and music theory. Studies in conducting and music theater accompaniment round out her versatile musical education.

In addition to her work at the Stella Vorarlberg Private University College of Music, she also teaches at the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory in Graz.
