GANZ in der Musik conveys fundamental musical skills through hands-on, practice-oriented learning. Listening, movement, improvisation, composition, recognition, and notation are closely interconnected, fostering inner hearing, refining musical sensitivity, and building a solid foundation of musical understanding. The aim is to provide progressive instruction that empowers students to learn independently and to continue developing their musical abilities on their own.

In four modules, Verena Unterguggenberger offers insights into this acquisition-based pedagogical approach, explains its core principles and methodologies, and enables participants to apply what they have learned directly to their own teaching practice.

Lecturer: Verena Unterguggenberger

Educator, lecturer, author, composer, producer, founder and director of the ICH und DU publishing house, founder of the GANZ in der Musik method, and lecturer in Mathetics in Music Pedagogy at the Joseph Haydn Privathochschule, Verena Unterguggenberger also works, among other roles, with the music schools of the Province of Carinthia.

»I work with people to offer them the opportunity to find and follow their own path in music. I believe that we cannot truly teach another person anything. But we can help them discover it within themselves. My interest lies in creating learning environments that help others explore and grow: themselves and their own art.«

Class times are as follows:
Friday | 3:00–6:00 p.m.
Saturday | 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Sunday | 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Venue: Pförtnerhaus of Stella Musikhochschule
Fee: €720 for all 4 modules *

*MSW music school teachers pay
a total of €190 for all 4 modules.

Modules 1 and 2 will take place in cooperation with the Elementary Music Education Course (EMP) at Stella Musikhochschule.
