Biography

Born in Hohenems, Austria, the pianist with Turkish roots studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Imre Rohmann and before that at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory (now Stella Vorarlberg) with Ferenc Bognár. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in numerous European countries, such as at the Salzburg Chamber Music Festival, the Origen Festival Cultural (CH), the International Lake Constance Festival and has performed with the Russian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, the Finnish Jalas Chamber Orchestra and the Vorarlberg Symphony Orchestra, among others. His debut CD with the late piano pieces op. 116-119 by Johannes Brahms, released by Ars-Produktion in 2021, received outstanding reviews from the international press. The renowned music magazine Fono Forum gave the recording its recommendation of the month. The album was also nominated for the OPUS KLASSIK 2022 in the Instrumental Solo Recording category. Yunus Kaya regularly gives masterclasses in Italy, Finland, and Turkey.
