Biography

Gerhard Bautz is a sound engineer, film and audio producer, and court expert.

• 1992 to 1999: sound engineer at the Bregenz Festival
• 1999: foundation of the company SOUNDDESIGN, www.sounddesign.or.at
• since 2001: lecturer at various universities
• 2003: Austrian State Prize for Multimedia and E-Business
• Publications: 2012 – Directional sound reinforcement systems; 2014 – Stereo 1/1
• 2014: first self-produced film “Grenzland”
• Teaching subjects: acoustics; design of internet presences and educational websites; basics of sound engineering; video for self-presentation and educational projects; applied music on the computer; creation of teaching material, presentations, and scientific work on the computer; artistic media education; teaching practice in the field of new media / intermedia project
• since 2003: employed at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory and Stella Vorarlberg
