Biography

  • Studied concert recorder and musicology at the University of Music Berlin and the Mozarteum Salzburg (Mag. art. with Nikolaus Harnoncourt) as well as composition / aural training at the University of Music Weimar
  • Doctorate on Questions of Music Aesthetics in the 18th Century (Dr. phil.)
  • Studied double bass for six semesters with Prof. Francisco Obieta at the former State Conservatory in Feldkirch
  • Professor of composition and aural training in Feldkirch since 1993
  • Teacher of recorder at the Liechtenstein Music School since 1998
  • Recorder player in the baroque ensemble ‘L’Estate musicale’, in the quartet ‘La Rocaille’ and soprano in the vocal ensemble 333, specialising in world premieres and early music (conductor: Ulrich Zeitler)
  • Double bass player in the chamber orchestra KV 2018 (conductor: Stefan Susana)
  • In addition, chamber and orchestral concerts, opera productions, interpretation courses, collaboration on an encyclopaedia about Frederick II (music section), radio recordings, three CD recordings
