Biography

  • First music lessons at the music school in Feldkirch. Studied music education and instrumental music education for singing and piano (teaching degree for secondary schools) at the Mozarteum Salzburg, Dept. X, music education in Innsbruck and philosophy/psychology/pedagogy (teaching degree) at the University of Innsbruck.
  • Instrumental and vocal pedagogy and concert diploma in singing at the former Vorarlberg State Conservatory. Maga. art.
  • Various teaching activities at music schools and grammar schools
  • Since 1994, lecturer for instrumental and vocal pedagogy and solo voice training at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory. Head of the choral conducting and church music courses from 2006 to 2012, including three years as study area coordinator for further education
  • Co-author of the study ‘Burnout among music school teachers in Vorarlberg’ (with Anselm Hartmann, Helmut Sonderegger and Claus Brüstle), published in: Musikpädagogische Forschung Österreich Vol. 2, 2007
  • Lecturer at choral seminars
  • Soloist as mezzo-soprano and alto
