MA Music Education & Music Performance (EN)

The Master’s programme in Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy consists of artistic, pedagogical, and scientific study modules that focus on the fostering of giftedness in musical teaching situations. It teaches interdisciplinary principals for the fostering of musical talent and performance.

Innovative study modules are partly carried out in cooperation with the Vorarlberg Olympic Centre. Students gain practical teaching experience at the university college’s pre-college programme.

The Study Programme

The Master of Arts degree certifies that graduates have achieved a high artistic level in their respective central artistic subject and confirms that they are qualified to teach and work with gifted musicians in music schools, conservatoires, colleges, and music universities.

Graduates are qualified to identify musical talents and to support them using pedagogical and psychosocial methods.

The degree programme entitles graduates to take up further doctoral studies at colleges and universities.
